Can I use EcoLight together with other light source at the same time?
Yes but both EcoLight and other normal light source has to be at least 3-4 meters apart.
 

Why is it a must to have EcoLight & other light source at least 3-4 meters apart?
It is because the UV radiation from the other light source would attract the mosquitoes and this will affect the effectiveness of EcoLight.

Where should I install EcoLight?
Ecolight can be installed either on ceiling or wall. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Indoor: Room, Living Hall, Dinning Hall, Hallway, Kitchen, Entrance.
Outdoor: Patio, Porch, Garden, Fence Perimeter, Parks, Public Areas, Livestock Farm, School Compound, etc.
 

Does Ecolight repel insects other than mosquitoes?
Yes. EcoLight repels all sorts of other biting insects including no-see-ums, biting midges, moths and more.
 

Is EcoLight more effective than Citronella candles and smoking coils?
Yes. Citronella candles and smoking coils repel mosquitoes, but you must stay in the smoky plume to be protected. The smoking Citronella coils contain pesticides. Dr. Robert Novak of the University of Illinois , USA tested these products and reported that when smoke from a coil covered a human test subject's shin, the mosquitoes flew around the subject's leg and bit them on the calf. For EcoLight, as long as you are within the illuminated area, you are being protected.
 

Is EcoLight safer to be used than mosquito coil?
Yes. Epidemiologic studies have shown that long-term exposure to mosquito coil smoke can induce asthma and persistent wheeze in children (Azizi and Henry 1991; Fagbule and Ekanem 1994; Koo and Ho 1994).
According to a joint research done by Universities of USA and Malaysia on mosquito coil emissions and health implications [Environ Health Perspect 111:1454-1460(2003)], the exposure to mosquito coil smoke poses both acute and chronic health risks as a large suite of volatile organic compounds including carcinogens and suspected carcinogens were found in the coil smoke.
 

Can EcoLight repel mosquitoes 100%?
No but it is recommended to use EcoLight on a long term basis. Over time, you will see significant results of a mosquito-free living environment.
